How to check if the job search order given by your clients is a good assignment

Are you a or someone who works in a head hunting company? How do you know if your client is giving you a job order that is worth to do? How do you know they are not give the SAME job order to 50 or even 100 recruitment agency?

Have you ever wonder how come certain jobs are FILLED SO QUICKLY that before you even got a chance to post the advertisement, the position had been close? Is it possible that job order had been given to over 50-100 recruitment agency or even head hunters?

This is a REAL problem.

You are not alone…many of the agencies and consultants are facing the same problem – this unfair rproblem becomes an advantage for the client simply because they-The Clients do not need to have obligation to give you the exclusive job orders! (Sounds familer?)

The Secret of Generating 100 Recruitment Agency Clients in 2 Weeks Revealed

Even if they were to tell you that they only give it to you (Which is unlikely), you will still need to check whether they are telling the truth! (This is one of the secret that successful agency will not tell you!)

Use the following method to check whether the job assignement is being handled by many agencies, if you are able to differential which job order is a good order and which is a lousy order, you will have an unfair advantage:

Use the Search engine – Most of the time, agencies will use job portals to post their ads and such job portals are usually high ranking in GOOGLE search, hence use ONLY GOOGLE, not BING, YAHOO or any other search engine. GOOGLE can track almost anything within minutes!

Here’s what you will need to do, when the client give you an assignment, pick 10-15 wording from the job descriptions:

For example:

HR Manager Job Descriptions:

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Country Director & leading a team of around eight:

- Strong in strategy and operations

Assist the Country Director in headcount planning for individual departments

- Be strategic & analytical to see the long & short term objectives for the department & overall in line with the company objectives

- Improve the HR policies and procedures to better meet the business objectives

- Review and improve existing staff benefits

- Improve existing welfare programs & employee relation activities to enhance the relationship between management & staff

- Keep abreast of and inform the Country Director of any trends & changes in industrial relations & human resource management practices in order to stay competitive & up-to-date.

- Handle staff counseling and disciplinary matters.

- Improve the existing various HR information systems to increase the overall efficiency of the dept and the company

Requirements:

- Possess a Degree with min 5yrs of Managerial experience

- Have strong knowledge of the Employment Act

- Experience in dealing with wide and large range of employees

- Possess excellent human relation skills & others such as interviewing, counseling, training & negotiation

What I will do is I will go to www.google.com and search the following : “Assist the Country Director in headcount planning for individual departments”

I will put a “………….” between the whole sentence. When I press enter it will show me the following:

-          All web related that has this sentence “Assist the Country Director in headcount planning for individual departments”

-          The whole list of website that has everything related to the sentence.

When you see all the listing in GOOGLE, you will notice that some of them are posted in job portals by different agencies or even the client themselve, click on them and see who are the agencies that are currently working on the case.

In addition, when you look at the date of posting, you will also know this position had been around for “HOW LONG”

With this information of the job assignment and knowing how many agents your client had given to and how long it had been around, you will have a fairly good idea how “valuable” this job assignment is! Or course with this UNFAIR advantage, you will be one level better than other consultants in the same industry!

Cool isn’t it? Try it and see how wonderful it can be….

Why You Should Not Get a Temporary Job via a Recruitment Agencies in Singapore

Why You Should Not Get a Temporary Job via a in Singapore

Remember the time where you are being offered a temporary job where it pays you $7-$10 an hour? Guess what? Most likely you have been “cheated” well what do I meant by cheated? Let’s goes back to the time where the asked you this question:

What is your lowest rate per hour you are willing to take?

Well this question will let the recruitment consultant knows what kind of job to offer you – AT THE LOWEST RATES….

Hey something is not right here. You will notice that you are looking for a specific job. Isn’t it? But do you notice that the jobs you are looking and most of the time it will not be available? And the recruitment consultant will let you know that they have 1000 temporary jobs but none of them are what you are looking for.

You may get lucky to find a job that you like but hey, the rates per hour will not be what you are looking for!!!! You have not much choice but to accept the “offer” and take the job at a lower rate.

The Secret – What really happen!

The company will pay $15.00 per hour to the agency, which including the CPF.

The agency will pay $7.00 per hour to YOU.

Well what about the $8.00, a small percentage which is 13.50% of $7.00 which is $0.94 to be contribute to the CPF(If they do contributed!) which left the recruitment agencies with $7.06!

The TRUTH – For every hour you work at $7.00 – They are ripping you off at $7.06 per hour…

If you were to work 9 hours, $64.54 which supposed to be yours are given to the recruitment agencies! Fair….no way isn’t it?

This is how it works = Because you do not have the SOURCE to reach the company, what happen if you are able to work directly with the company instead of the recruitment agencies? I am very sure you will be able to get at least $10.00 per hour instead of $7.00…..

Hence, from now on, you will need to be smart when you are applying for a temporary job via recruitment agencies. Here is what you need to do:

1)      Use Google alert to search for “temporary job [country name]” goto www.google.com/alerts to do the setting, you will be able to receive news on what are the jobs available almost instantly.

2)      When there is an offer from the recruitment agencies, let them know you are worth more. If they really want you, they will give it to you.

3)      If you have accepted the temporary job already and there are some people doing the same temporary job with you within the same department from the same recruitment agency, ask them how much they are getting. If it is higher, let the recruitment consultant knows that YOU know. They will give you plenty of excuse to say that the other party is more qualified, experience…etc. ask them to cut the BS….ask for a better price….most of the time, they will do the adjustment. I have done that before when I was doing temporary with a recruitment agencies many donkey  years back. IT WORKS!

4)      Tell the recruitment consultant that there is another agencies offering you almost the same position at a much higher rate and you are considering at the moment…bait them and negotiate for a better deal…hehe….

I know many recruitment consultants and recruitment agencies will kill me when they see my post but what the hack, I just want to keep people informed on how you can be smarter and not being ripped off by them.

Cheers and Happy Working.
