Hi,

I am writing this on the behalf of a friend to protect his privacy.

My friend Jonas is a student that is currently on holiday so he is looking for a job. He saw a few ads online last night and decided to message a person regarding a one month position. The person replied this morning and they arranged an interview around 1pm today at the CFP Building at Bishan. The building name is misleading because it turns out to be Recruit Express. He arrived at 1pm sharp and messaged the person of his arrival. She didn’t reply. So someone gave him a form to fill up and he waited there with a few other candidates.

During the 45mins that he was waiting, he noticed the behaviour of the recruiters that were very unprofessional. They were laughing out loud among themselves, talking loudly and swearing! All this scene happened in front of the candidates and when one recruiter realised that, he told the candidates to wait in another room that was enclosed so they couldn’t hear them. My friend Jonas was kinda pissed at that time so he walked off.

About an hour later, the person he was supposed to meet messaged him asking where he is so he told her he went away. Basically, that lady was all along in the office, joking around with her colleges instead of doing her job as a recruiter. When Jonas told her he went away, he was expecting at least a common courtesy of that lady to say “sorry for making you come down and wait” but what he got was “are you coming back later”. At that point, he didn’t respond because he understood Recruit Express was an inefficient and useless agency. The problem right here is not about how long he waited but about how these “recruiters” treated my friend and the other candidates in an very unprofessional way.

I hope this article reaches the management of Recruit Express Bishan as I couldn’t find any contact on their website.

Thank you for reading and to all the job seekers, don’t waste your time on Recruit Express.

recruit-express-review-13Bevan Lim 1 star One of the worst recruit agency! I wonder why they even exist!! They like you to go down for interview then they tell you and say if they have any suitable job for you they will call or inform you. They try recommend you another Job which you already express that you are not interested in. Worst of all same branch people still expect you go down to their office again and again for don’t know what reason when one of their colleague have already interviewed you. It a waste of time!!

recruit-express-review-14AJ Tan 1 star Everytime I had a query, agent is not around and they promised a callback but in the end no callback after a few days.. I had to call again to chase for a reply..

Many many issues with my army pay claim due to wrong submission by them to MINDEF.. whole process can take up to months..

recruit-express-review-15Joanne Crivoi Tay 1 star Delayed my salary. Dishonest, disgusting bunch of cheats. To the agents: how can you sleep at night knowing the kind of things that you do? Avoid at all costs.

recruit-express-review-16Karen Tan 1 star Worst recruitment agency ever! This recruitment consultant is being so sarcastic during the phone interview and she probably has forgotten that i am her ‘client’. Her return emails either sound rude or no reply. I guess she is not suitable in this line after all.

recruit-express-review-17Keith Pang 1 star TERRIBLE !! Posting on ad-hoc basis jobs on last minute basis and ticking people off if they do not have a scanner or printer!
Not sincere at all on recruitment !!

recruit-express-review-18Stephanie Setyadi 1 star just now a recruit express person called me on my mobile. she said she came across my profile on JobsDB (ok fair enough). then she asked me if i am still looking for job, to which i said “nope”. she said loud and clear to me “FUCK”.

very very bad impression. never gonna apply for job thru recruit express ever.

unprofessional to the max.

recruit-express-review-19Hong Lee Tan 1 star really an stupid agency. Can’t even talk nicely and I I really can’t believe why agency’s will reply in a fuckup way methods. Really wonder how you guys maintain the company.

Louis Soh 1 star My current agent by the name of Desmond working at the united square side has no sense of urgency or responsibility. I submitted my time sheet thru the HR here , supposed to get my paycheck but I didn’t receive it . Texted him asking when can I get my pay , did not reply . Called him , he picked up saying he will check for me . Waited a few hours for him . No answer no nothing . I got angry and called the main line @ united square and was informed that he’s not working there anymore . HE COULD AT LEAST TELL SOMEONE TO TAKE OVER FOR HIM INSTEAD OF LETTING ME HANG IN MIDAIR . Will I ever rely on this agency to find work ? NO

recruit-express-review-21Ezzaaz Hakam 1 star Very stupid agency! Told the agent i dont want to work as a sales assistant. Went to his computer and came out just to introduce me another SALES ASSISTANT JOB! TOLD HIM ARE YOU JOKING? HE SAID THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT! I BE SELLING STATIONARY!!! STUPID AGENCY!!! EFF OFF!

Worst job agency in singapore. Job was nothing like how they described it as. Anyhow dump stupid shifts on u and super unreasonable. Blueticks you when u ask questions and goes mia during important times. Do not go to this agency. Feel so scammed.

Honestly i feel like it is impt to find a good agent. Despite all the negative reviews abt how bad the service is, i had an agent (name gerald from ngee ann city outlet) who was rly friendly and efficient. He ever gave me a call to remind me on my first day of work at 8am!!!! Thus i believe it is impt for you guys to look for the correct agent(maybe u can ask around). all the best!!

Worst agent ever (desmond from united square recruit express ) said that my friend and i can get our pay in the end we waited for 2 weeks + worst of all he can even ignore our text and let us wait blindly, asked him whether still we can get our pay just reply a yes or no but still he don’t even bother to reply. Shyt guy ever

Don’t ever go to recruitexpress I rejected a jobs until now they didn’t find a jobs for me worst they ask go to client interview last time said the client found someone. After that they didn’t find a jobs for me….

What kind of agency is that…..
Poor attitude and services.
Will not go to them anymore.

Different agent from recruitexpress kept calling… even after i said i found a job to one of them. They seriously need to have better communication within the agency.

Renew/ Extend of work contract very efficient very fast, but when it comes to salary and replying of emails…takes forever. Recruit Express? I don’t see anything “express” about this agency.
Agents should also go on customer service training as well.

A place to go for when looking for job . Stuff there are efficient and they help u to hunt for job base on your requirement too !

This company tells me got good job but later on its cleaner and factory Careful they judge on people faces

I’m currently under a contract with recruitexpress. And i think the current ratings aren’t doing them justice. At first i was skeptical about perhaps getting short-changed for my salary etc. So far my experience with them is great, i get my doubts cleared within a phone call. Emails are replied to promptly. My consultant is very patient. Maybe the administrative problems most people face are caused by the client companies’ HR as larger companies have longer processing time.

Went to recruit express Tampines and Thomson and ws try to looking for jobs
They can’t even entertain
Bad Services

The worst agency everrrrrr. I highly recommend that they go for customer service training (esp Joyce).

It’s way to bad, supposed to start work on 10 December end up have to hold me up due to admit issue. Called me and told me I can proceed to the job place on 14 December. When I went there they told us administration issue not settled. 1St time experiencing this kinda agency. Avoid at all cause

applied for a retail staff position, even on the contract was written there, but out of the blue they called & said it was a cashier job & he was just “notifying” my friend & i, not even asking if we still want it or not. ridiculous
