  1. MAYA !! girl i just gotta thank you and jazz because if i hadn't seen this video i'm sure i would've still been job hunting! i've been searching for a job since the beginning of august and no lie i've applied to at least 70 jobs, and it wasn't until i saw this video and changed my resume that i finally got called in for an interview!! the interviewers said what stood out to them first was my resume! and yes i got the job 😉 so i owe you two the hugest thank you! keep doing what you do ♥

  2. Hello ladies, thank you for sharing this video with us it has been helpful. I am a brand ambassador and I really enjoy what I do!!! I get tons of work but I feel like my resume is boring. It is on Microsoft word and I was trying to find good templates that help the creative side of things. Please let me know some good websites to check out for nice templates . I loved the resume you showed I thought it was neat and creative. Once again thank you for sharing:).

  3. I really wish I knew what I'm doing wrong with my resume. I never really get a call back or an email back whether it be office, retail or food industry. When I do they all need full time workers. It may be the fact that I can't work enough hours, but I've been turned down so many times and feel so discouraged. Especially as a college student, makes me feel even more discouraged about the future.

  4. Hi! I'm a recent college grad looking for a job and was wondering if you think it's better to have a professional picture of yourself on your resume or not? I'm looking for business positions specifically. Some of my friends have told me the hiring managers are going to search for you online anyway so you might as well include it, but others have told me they toss out resumes with pictures to avoid discrimination??? Idk! Lol

  5. I currently work as a Supervisor at a drug store chain but are looking to get back into Healthcare and put my degree to use. I use Indeed.com and also apply directly through the hospital websites. Its very useful but after this video I will make a Linked in as well.

  6. Hi Maya!

I love you btw! This question is actually for Jazmine though. I am graduating with my Master's degree in Public Relations in literally 6 days and wanted to pick her brain on what communication jobs are looking for in a resume. I see that she has worked as a social media manager and that is actually a position I am looking to get into once I graduate. I was hoping to have something before I ended school, but unfortunately I have failed. I have also changed my resume up about 50,000 times so I am at a loss right now…please help??!!

  7. I found this video to be very useful. I have recently returned from Teaching English in China and I am figuring out what to do next. I have a B.A in Sociology, and I want to broaden my experience to LGBTQ youth; writing/ editing. I have tons of experience with children and some experience within the area of special needs. From Toronto,CA :D. LifebyJazztv you have a new subscriber :D

  8. One issue with resumes is that companies look at the names on the resume and discriminate. If the name appears to " black" ,etc… in the trash it goes. Real talk. That hurts many of people of color that have a banging resume, great credentials and abilities.
    Thank you for this video

  9. Love this video..super helpful. I totally forgot about my linkdin until the other day and i have started using it again. I did not realise how awesome it is! But at the moment I am looking for work in TV Production. Anything to do corporate marketing video to tv studio. Is my dream job. I have polished my wix website with all the content I have built throughout the years.

  10. What should I do, if I would like to apply to multiple jobs in different fields that I am qualified for? Do I have to print out a resume for each job addressing the job position I would like, or is there a way I can build one resume for all the jobs I apply for? Great tips, and at a needed time for me. Thanks!!!!

  11. +Shameless Maya please please please help!!! I currently live in NJ and want to move to Cali and have been looking for work out there but no luck they all want me to interview and I can't fly out there for each job interview and trying to figure out a way to make it all work…. My background is all kinds of things.. currently I'm an administrative assistant but I also am a certified makeup artist and a cake decorator as well as an extreme couponer teaching others how to coupon I know all kinds of weird and different but I have many different trades and hobbies and would love help in finding the right job at the right pay with the right resume…. HELP!! 🙂 PLEASE LOL
