I really wish I knew what I'm doing wrong with my resume. I never really get a call back or an email back whether it be office, retail or food industry. When I do they all need full time workers. It may be the fact that I can't work enough hours, but I've been turned down so many times and feel so discouraged. Especially as a college student, makes me feel even more discouraged about the future.

Hey, I was wondering what did Jazmine create her resume on?

  13. January 12, 2017 at 5:37 am — Reply

Hi! I'm a recent college grad looking for a job and was wondering if you think it's better to have a professional picture of yourself on your resume or not? I'm looking for business positions specifically. Some of my friends have told me the hiring managers are going to search for you online anyway so you might as well include it, but others have told me they toss out resumes with pictures to avoid discrimination??? Idk! Lol

    Hi Maya!

I love you btw! This question is actually for Jazmine though. I am graduating with my Master's degree in Public Relations in literally 6 days and wanted to pick her brain on what communication jobs are looking for in a resume. I see that she has worked as a social media manager and that is actually a position I am looking to get into once I graduate. I was hoping to have something before I ended school, but unfortunately I have failed. I have also changed my resume up about 50,000 times so I am at a loss right now…please help??!!

One issue with resumes is that companies look at the names on the resume and discriminate. If the name appears to " black" ,etc… in the trash it goes. Real talk. That hurts many of people of color that have a banging resume, great credentials and abilities.
    Thank you for this video

What should I do, if I would like to apply to multiple jobs in different fields that I am qualified for? Do I have to print out a resume for each job addressing the job position I would like, or is there a way I can build one resume for all the jobs I apply for? Great tips, and at a needed time for me. Thanks!!!!
