What is a Daily Chart?

Daily Chart, Not Horoscope

Every daily chart is a map that turns hours into choices. Every day you can use it to decide exactly what to do, where to push, and what to avoid.

What a Daily Chart Actually Is

A daily chart is a single-day snapshot produced by the Qi Men Dun Jia method that compresses time, space, and personal intent into a tactical grid. The Chart presents a readout of the 8 Doors, which are the operational choices available that day, the 9 Stars, which modulate strength and character, and the 8 Gods, which indicate the moral and relational weather. The Chart also lays out the Heaven and Earth panels, which are the timed cosmic influences and the physical directional layout respectively, the Three Wonders, which are the integrative criteria of Time, Space, and Person, and the Six Instruments, which are the practical levers you can employ. The Chart is an applied instrument, not a lecture on fate.

How To Read It Fast

A daily Chart separates information into nine sectors, each a tactical micro-environment. Each sector contains a Door, a Star, and a God, plus markers from the Heaven and Earth panels, and a seal from the Six Instruments when relevant. Each element has a role: the 8 Doors give you options for action, the 9 Stars color those options with energy and consequence, and the 8 Gods tell you about counsel, risk, and relationship tone. Each reading begins by identifying which sector contains your intention in time and space and then layering the elements into a single decision profile.

8 Doors, Explained Briefly

The 8 Doors are the basic tactical moves: Open, Rest, Life, Death, Harm, Escape, Scenic, and Closure. The occurrence of a Door in a sector describes what type of action will succeed or fail if you operate there. The Door is the first filter you apply when deciding whether to act in a sector. The Door answers the question, What kind of outcome does this place favor?

9 Stars, Quick Definition

The 9 Stars are the qualitative modifiers such as leadership, concealment, support, and disruption. The Star tells you how strong or subtle the Door will be, and whether the movement will attract attention or run quietly. The Star is the amplifier on your intent, not the intent itself. The Star answers the question, How will the world respond?

8 Gods, Minimal Note

The 8 Gods indicate the interpersonal and ethical climate, labels like Noble, Deception, and Authority. The God points to allies, opponents, and the likely moral consequences of acting. The God answers the question, What kind of people or social force will show up when you move?

Heaven and Earth Panels: Two Layers, One Decision

The Heaven panel is a temporal overlay indicating when influence peaks within the day. The Earth panel is spatial, showing direction and location within the nine sectors. The panels combine so that a sector with favorable Door and Star but poor Heaven timing will deliver a weak result if you move at the wrong hour. The panels answer the question, When and where do you apply the chosen tactic?

Three Wonders and Six Instruments, Put To Work

The Three Wonders are Time, Space, and Person and they decide whether a Chart is good for you. The Person factor is you or the principal actor, Space is physical or market position, and Time is the hour and day. The Six Instruments are practical tools and mechanisms such as authority, secrecy, legal structure, communication medium, resource allocation, and withdrawal plan. The Instruments are the levers you pull; choose them according to the Door, dial them with the Star, and protect them under the God.

Immediate Tactical Use

A daily Chart tells you three things before lunch and three different things after lunch. Start by mapping your top three intentions into the Chart sectors and identify the Door for each. Next, check the Star and God to see whether the intention will be amplified or compromised. Last, align your Six Instruments to defend weak Doors and to exploit strong ones.

Practical Rules That Never Change

  • Rule One: Avoid a Death Door if the 9 Star is weak and an 8 God signals Opposition. The combination guarantees loss.
  • Rule Two: Prefer an Open Door with a Beneficial Star and a Supportive God for public launches. The result will be visible and sustainable.
  • Rule Three: Use Escape and Closure Doors deliberately for retreat and damage control. Execute with one instrument only to minimize signal leakage.
  • Rule Four: Always confirm the Heaven panel timing before committing resources. Bad timing turns a good sector into a loss.

What It Does Not Do

A daily Chart does not replace market analysis, legal counsel, or technical competence. The Chart is a timing and placement tool and it amplifies or diminishes real-world capability. The Chart will not create competence from incompetence, but it will reveal when to present competence for maximum effect. The Chart answers the question, Do this now, move it there, or wait.

Casework, Brief and Direct

A company with a product problem asked whether to launch a fix on a specific day. The favorable sector showed an Open Door with a commanding Star and a Beneficial God. The Heaven panel placed peak influence in the afternoon which matched the company window for press. The Six Instruments recommended a scaled public communication with a legal buffer. The launch succeeded because the chart told them to act in sector, at hour, with instrument. The Chart does not promise success, it tells you how to stack the odds.

When To Skip The Chart

Skip the Chart when you have no capacity to respond to the outcome. The Chart creates obligations. If you cannot staff, fund, or follow through then the Chart is a liability. The Chart is a decision amplifier and an amplifier needs a controlled output. The Chart is only useful if you intend to act on its instruction.

How To Build Skill Quickly

Mastery of the daily Chart requires repeated, focused reads and disciplined after-action review. Track outcomes against Door, Star, and God combinations and note which Six Instruments produced predictable results. Use the Three Wonders test before accepting a Chart based plan. Use this process for 90 days and you will recognize patterns without needing to draw every calculation.

Use the Door to choose, the Star to time, the God to judge, and the Instruments to execute.

Do This Tomorrow

Pick three intentions, place them into the Chart, and apply the rules above. Check the Heaven and Earth panels, choose the correct Six Instruments, and act within the hour the Chart favors. Record outcomes and adjust your instrument set for the next day.

Decide and move now.
