“Long Chi” (龙池) is a term from 紫微斗数 (Zǐwēi Dǒushù, often abbreviated ZWDS), a traditional Chinese astrological system used to analyze one’s fate and destiny based on their birth date and time. ZWDS divides the sky into 12 Palaces (or Houses), assigns 14 major stars and numerous auxiliary (minor) stars, and interprets the interplay of these celestial elements to forecast a person’s life path.

龙池 (Lóng Chí) translates literally as “Dragon Pool.” In Chinese symbolism:

• Dragon (龙) represents nobility, power, and the celestial.
• Pool (池) evokes calm water, often symbolizing receptivity, grace, and nurturing environments.

When combined, “Dragon Pool” suggests a refined, elegant, and almost sacred space — a place where the celestial dragon rests or refreshes. In the context of ZWDS, it’s one of the auxiliary stars and has a strong yin or feminine, receptive, and graceful energy.
