How I Select a Disciple for Qi Men Dun Jia | Part 1

Hi, my name is Mr. Dougles Chan, and today I want to share how I personally select a disciple to learn the art of Qi Men Dun Jia.

Many people ask me:

“Master Chan, what are the requirements to become your disciple?”

So in this video, I will explain how I evaluate a person — from both a moral and metaphysical perspective.

🧭 What Is a Qi Men Dun Jia Disciple?

A disciple is not just a student who learns the technical parts of Qi Men Dun Jia.
A disciple is someone who wants to master the art to help people — through divination, destiny reading, feng shui, and date selection.

Qi Men Dun Jia is a system that allows us to:
✨ Predict and forecast events through divination.
✨ Understand a person’s destiny through their birth chart.
✨ Audit the energy of homes and spaces through feng shui analysis.
✨ Choose auspicious dates for important actions like marriage or business.

So a disciple is someone who not only learns but also uses these skills to uplift others and make positive impact in society.

💠 The First Step — Character and Moral Integrity

Before I even look at a person’s chart, I look at their heart.
Are they a righteous person? Are they kind? Do they truly want to help people, or do they only want to earn money?

Qi Men Dun Jia is a powerful tool. If it is used with a selfish heart, it can cause harm.
So for me, character always comes first.
I will never teach a person who has a greedy heart or dishonest intention.

🪶 The Second Step — Energy Suitability from the Birth Chart

After I confirm the person’s moral character, I look at their Qi Men Dun Jia chart using their date of birth, time of birth, and city of birth.

This chart tells me about their energy structure and compatibility with Qi Men Dun Jia.

Not everyone is energetically suitable to learn this system.
If their chart shows certain “clashes” or negative combinations, learning this art may cause emotional, psychological, or even family imbalance.

When I see that in the chart, I will advise the person not to continue.
Because if something will harm you, it is better not to walk that path.

⚙️ What I Look For in the Chart

Here are some of the elements I study before accepting a disciple:

1️⃣ Character Stars and Doors — whether the person has honesty, patience, and empathy.
2️⃣ Energy Flow — to see if their chart has balance between yin and yang elements.
3️⃣ Clashes and Supports — if the chart clashes with the master’s energy, it may cause friction or difficult learning.
4️⃣ Destiny Purpose — whether their life path supports teaching and helping others.

These details help me see if the person will benefit from this journey or if it will drain their energy.

💎 The Third Step — Purpose and Motivation

Once I see that the chart is energetically suitable, I ask a simple question:

“Why do you want to learn Qi Men Dun Jia?”

If the answer is “I want to help people,” it is a good sign.
If the answer is “I want to make a lot of money,” I will probably reject them.

Qi Men Dun Jia is about wisdom, not wealth.
When you help enough people, the universe will reward you naturally.

📚 The Path After Acceptance

Once a disciple is accepted, the training journey begins:

They start with the Apprentice Level, learning divination and destiny reading.

Then they move to advanced modules on feng shui and date selection.

Finally, they may progress to become a trainer or consultant within the academy.

This is not a quick path. It takes commitment, discipline, and heart.

Selecting a disciple is not about quantity.
It’s about quality — choosing the right people to carry the knowledge forward with respect and integrity.

I would rather have one righteous disciple than a hundred who seek only power.
