Gelsey Tan QMDJ Review Video 3 for Grand Master Dougles Chan

The five elements in Chinese metaphysics—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—are fundamental to Qi Men Dun Jia. They interact through two cycles: the producing cycle (where one element nourishes another) and the crashing cycle (where elements clash or block each other). In the producing cycle, wood generates fire, fire creates earth (ashes), earth nourishes metal, metal controls wood, and water nourishes plants. In the crashing cycle, wood can break through earth, water can block earth, fire can extinguish water, and metal can chop wood. These relationships help us understand how different energies support or challenge each other in Qi Men Dun Jia.
