What are the disadvantages of the Bandit Star?

Just as it possesses advantages such as grand vision, exceptional courage, and deep wisdom, the negative energy the Bandit Star carries is equally enormous. Because Kan Water represents the utmost Yin, darkness, the abyss, and pitfalls, in ancient times it was often directly defined as a greatly inauspicious star or “thief star.” In modern society, if the Bandit Star’s energy is not properly restrained and guided, or its negative traits are allowed to expand unchecked, the disadvantages and destructive power it brings can be devastating. These flaws not only easily plunge the person themselves into an irredeemable situation, but often spread to affect the team and loved ones around them.

The Bandit Star’s most fatal flaw lies in its uncontainable greed and overinflated ambition. The Bandit Star belongs to great water, and the tide of water is boundless, never satisfied. This trait reflected in character is an almost pathological craving for wealth, power, status, or desire. They find it extremely hard to feel satisfied with the status quo, always pursuing bigger, more, and more exciting goals. When this ambition exceeds what their own ability can support, or becomes detached from a realistic foundation, it turns into blind aggression and reckless gambling. A person with the Bandit Star in their destiny or Palace often carries a strong gambler’s mentality — they are not satisfied with steady, down-to-earth accumulation, but are obsessed with betting big on small stakes and taking reckless risks. This extreme numbness to risk causes them to often blindly expand their front when things are going well, ultimately going bankrupt overnight due to a broken cash chain or a decision-making error.

Accompanying this greed is the Bandit Star’s tendency to slide toward the dark side of breaking the law and using any means necessary. Although this style of using any means necessary to achieve their goal may bring them huge profit or a breakthrough in the short term, over the long run it inevitably invites legal punishment and social condemnation. Their life is therefore filled with great instability, like walking a tightrope on the edge of a blade, potentially facing imprisonment or devastating consequences at any moment.

In interpersonal relationships and team management, the Bandit Star’s flaws show up as an inherently suspicious nature, excessive scheming, and an extremely strong desire for control. Although the Bandit Star can display a tolerant, all-embracing posture at the macro level, because their inner heart is as unfathomable as an abyss, they find it very hard to truly trust anyone. Kan Water governs darkness, meaning they are accustomed to hiding their true intentions, preferring to observe, plan, and manipulate in secret. The Bandit Star’s life is, in essence, a lifelong practice of constant struggle against their own desires and dark side. If they cannot learn to build a dam against the flood, cannot use morality, law, and reason to restrain this vast water energy onto the proper track, then all the intelligence and talent the Bandit Star displays will, in the end, be nothing more than a catalyst accelerating their descent into the abyss of ruin.
