Basic of Qi Men Dun Jia 奇门遁甲

What is Qi Men Dun Jia

A 5,000 years old Chinese Metaphysics which is one of the three most respected Three Styles (三式; sānshì; ‘three styles’) of Chinese Metaphysics from China, with Da Liu Ren & Tai Yi Shen Shu.

奇门遁甲

The simplified Chinese character of Qi Men Dun Jia, non-Chinese are not able to understand the word 奇门遁甲 will translate it to Qi Men Dun Jia. 奇门遁甲 is the simplified version of 奇門遁甲. An old 5,000 years old Chinese Metaphysics that is highly respected and used by only the Emperors and Military strategies.

奇門遁甲

The original name is 奇門遁甲 when is started 5,000 years ago which was later simplified as 奇门遁甲. It is pronounced as Qi Men Dun Jia). An old 5,000 years old Chinese Metaphysics that is highly respected by many but not well well-known.

Qimen

A short version of Qi Men Dun Jia 奇门遁甲, many non-Chinese students used the term Qimen to represent Qi Men Dun Jia. For simplicity, generally people call it Qimen for easy references.

QMDJ

This is a abbreviation of Qi Men Dun Jia, users use QMDJ commonly as a short-form for easy references.

Applications of Qi Men Dun Jia

The applications of Qi Men Dun Jia are divinations, some people called it Forecasting, bazi destiny, also known as Bazi Reading, Feng Shui and date selection.

Divination:

Forecasting of a question and knowing the results at a very high accuracy.

Bazi Destiny:

Also known as bazi reading, to understand persons character, potential, strength, career path, relationships and health issues.

Date Selection:

Choosing the best time and date to do certain things, such as, marriage, operation, moving house, moving office, giving birth.

Feng Shui:

Understand the energy flows to customized with Bazi analysis and arrange of the energy to optimize and balance the energy.

History of Qi Men Dun Jia

Famous People who used Qi Men Dun Jia

Started as a legend, QMDJ was taught to “Huang Di” (2697 BC-2597 BC) by a fair called Jiu Tian XuanNu (Nine heavenly Goddess, to win the batter against Chi You.

Military strategies, Jing Zi Ya also used QMDJ to help King Wen of Zhou to overthrown Shang Dynasty (1600 BC-1046BC

Zhang Liang (262BC-189BC) used QMDJ to help Gao Zu to conquer the whole of China. Han Dynasty.

Zhu Ge Liang (181 BC-234BC) Three kingdom, famous battle of Red Cliff to predict timing of East Wing to win the battle against CaoCao.

Liu Bo Wen – (1311-1375), helped Emperor Zhu Yuan Zhang to establish Ming Dynasty.

Meaning of Qi men Dun Jia Palace (Box), Trigrams

Qimen Dun Jia Palace has a total of 9 palaces, which is (Kan) 坎宫, (Kun) 坤宫, (Zhen) 震宫, (Xun) 巽宫, (Qian) 乾宫, (Dui) 兌宫, (Gen) 艮宫, (Gen) 艮宫 & (Li) 離宫. the palace 5 in Qimen, we do not take into account.

Every palace, which is the box represents an environment, space, direction. Each box will need to look at it OBJECTIVELY, it is not fixed, it can change accordingly to the user applications.

Palace 1 (Kan) 坎宫

Water. It represents danger or a deep hole. Being confined within the area with limitations It’s also means close inter-personal activities, worries. Hidden crimes & robberies. Stuck in a space. Cannot advance or retreat. Feel of loss, cannot control.  

Palace 2 (Kun) 坤宫

Represents earth, earth is able to adept, accept what you are, who you are. An environment of growth, however, it is slow and drags.  The Extreme yin or feminine and represents fertility. Mother of all things and she is dark and devoted, warm and receptive. It rules over attributes like receptivity, reverence, caution, modesty, humility, obedience and respect.  

Palace 3 (Zhen) 震宫

Lighting, the beginning, renewed or birth of an idea, event or person. Having an entirely new perspective, a new outlook, a pleasant surprise or saying that things will improve, upward trend. Extremely fast, thunder, happens without any notifying, unexpected, not able to be control, not much choices. Represents movement.  

Palace 4 (Xun) 巽宫

It has positive and negative aspects representing constant and determine to achieve the results, timid, but indecision. Without direction, cannot decide, constantly move and stop. Directionless. Can also mean, things will get better, but slowly.

Palace 6 (Qian) 乾宫

The extreme Yang energy, Strength, creativity, the father of all things, controls the cloud and water, the ruler of the state. Sky, stand in the sky, able to control, high authority, good to act and take action.  

Palace 7 (Dui) 兌宫

It represents happiness, pure and real spirituality and joyful, music and art related activities. Safe, peaceful, not perfect, court and law issues, “small people”, gossip, scandals.  

Palace 8 (Gen) 艮宫

Represents a mountain. Representing the highest peak of spiritual attainment and an obstinate refusal to move. In also means stubbornness, being open and honest; frankness. savings, frugality and on the positive side inner perception and introspection. Difficulties.  

Palace 9 (Li) 離宫

Fire, it represents warmth, clear and passion. Beautiful, wise and intelligent people who are enlightened and sharing the path of enlightenment knowledge to the people. Great on the surface but, internally may not be so good. Use fireworks as example, very amazing and beautiful, but after sometime, it will be gone.
