- Check for emptiness. Is the palace void? If so, the reading is weakened.
- Look at the opposite palace. What energy faces your target? Is it supportive or antagonistic?
After you read:
- Write your conclusion in one sentence. Five layers, one sentence. If you cannot, simplify.
- Note the timing window. How long is this reading valid? Hour readings last two hours. Day readings last until the next day. Month readings last until the next lunar month.
- Record the reading and the outcome. This is the step most students skip and most practitioners never stop doing. Your accuracy improves only when you track results.
Weekly review:
Once a week, review your logged readings. Look for patterns. Which doors did you read well? Which combinations surprised you? Which readings were wrong, and why? This weekly review is where your skill compounds. The readings themselves teach you. The review teaches you faster.
