The Chart Shows Terrain, Not Ownership

The first mistake is thinking that because you can read a person’s situation, you own the right to act on it. You do not. In Qi Men Dun Jia, a chart maps the energetic terrain of a moment, much like a commander studies weather, supply lines, enemy movement, and morale before making a move. Knowing the terrain does not give you moral authority over another person’s will.

The 8 Doors are the action modes in the chart, showing whether a matter is suited for opening, resting, attacking, negotiating, hiding, obstructing, shocking, or closing.
