Today we are going to talk about interpreting the Bazi chart using Qi Men Dun Jia. I will give you a case study and see how a person’s life changes from the beginning until the latter part of his life.

This is a chart of Qi Men Dun Jia based on his birth date. With the time input, we have a specific trigram. The 9 palaces were generated on the date of birth: July 6, 1994, at 14:39.

How is Qi Men Dun Jia able to decipher the information so accurately that it is far more powerful than many of the other Bazi reading methods?Qi Men Dun Jia is actually one of the top three oracles in the Chinese history of metaphysics. It was only used by the emperor and the military strategist once. It was usually not taught and shared with the public. However, during generations of change, this information is opening up to more people, but it is still very limited because of the selection process to get a student.

Let’s boil down to the details of this article and see how we can, based on Qi Men Dun Jia, interpret a Bazi chart very precisely. So, this is the chart of Qi Men Dun Jia:

In order to understand how to get information, you will have to get based on the Day stem: 

We will have to make reference to this particular symbol, which is called “Gui”. So, we have to locate where “Gui” is in the 9 boxes below. Then, we can see that “Gui” is in box number 1 and box number 2:

If you notice, “Gui” is at the bottom of box number 1, and “Gui” is at the top of box number 2. What does it really represent? 

“Gui” at the bottom means your character when you are young. When you grow older, your character from box number 1 actually moves to box number 2. You see, people change when they grow older, when they have more experience. In this aspect, we can decipher that this character is based on box number 1 and box number 2.

 In box number 1, we can decipher based on the symbols which can tell us something

very interesting:

“BTortoise” shows that this person, generally speaking, is pretty talkative. He likes to talk and can be a sales person when he is young. When he does sales and marketing, he will be very good. 

Apparently, “Obstruct” (杜门 – Du Men) symbolizes that he is a kind of a stubborn person. He is always pretty outspoken because he is able to speak very well. He usually does not give a lot of positive feedbacks, comments.

“Advisor” (天辅星 – Tian Fu) is a very very good star. In Qi Men Dun Jia, Tian Fu is actually the number one star. It means that he is actually a very good leader, a nobleman.

That is the basic information about this person when he begins his life, probably around 30 to 40 years old.

We move to box number 2:

He was a leader when he was young, but after a while, he will be more relaxed. “Rest” symbol shows that he likes to take things easy, he does not like to do a lot of work. He cares for the family.

However, we have a negative symbol: “Bandit” (天蓬星 – Tian Peng). It means that he would like to spend a lot of money which he earned during his younger time. There will be changes. There are a lot of expenses in this process. He would do a lot of spending, and whatever he earned  would go back anywhere. That is going to drain his profit.

Let’s look at the career of this particular chart. When we talk about career, we look at “Open” (开门 – Kai Men)

In the beginning, when he is young, the career actually goes against himself. That means

if he wants to work for people in the very beginning, he will face a lot of obstacles and he will

not be able to stay in the job for too long. But as he grows older, this particular career (Kai Men) helps him. Why do I know?

Because of the elements. Different boxes have different elements. Box number 9 is Fire and box number 2 is Earth. Fire produces Earth, which means that if he works for people when he grows older, he will be good.

Next question: Is he suitable to do business? It is in box number 7, which has “Life” (生门- – Sheng Men)

Sheng Men is Metal and when he is young, he is Water (box number 1). Metal produces Water, which means that when he is young, he is good to go into business.

However, when he grows older, is it good?

As mentioned, when he is older, he is Earth. Sheng Men is Metal. Earth produces Metal, which means that if he wants to go into profit making, he is still able to do that, but it is very hard. When he grows older, he will be a good employer and do business for himself. 

These are the general aspects of a person’s Bazi based on the simple interpretation, but of course, there are many others we can take a look at based on this information. I can tell you that the information is very precise and detailed. That is how powerful Qi Men Dun Jia is.
