Welcome to Qi Men Dun Jia. My name is Dougles Chan. I am a Qimen teacher. Today, we are going to share this case study related to Qimen divination with you and see whether you are able to continue with the business for this retail shop.

You have a retail shop, and the business for the last six months has not been doing too well. So, the next thing you might ask is, is it really necessary to continue because for the next six months, it’s not going to do anything. That means the business is not going to be profitable. So, we can use Qi Men Dun Jia to see what might likely happen, and from there, you’re able to base your decision on that to see what you can do, whether to continue the business or not.

In this case, let’s look at the process of doing the chart. In Qi Men Dun Jia, we have to look at the answer. The answer is actually in the Hour Stem:

The symbol is Bing. Bing is in box 6, so box 6 will tell us about the situation of this answer.

Next, what we need to do is we also have to find out for ourselves. We are the asker. The asker is in the Day Stem.

The Day Stem is Geng which is a very interesting symbol. Geng is in box 7. So, the asker is in box 7.

The answer is in box 6:

There is a Serpent, Life, and Destroyer. Life is actually a good Door to be associated with. But in the corresponding symbol, we have a Serpent, which stands for worries. Destroyer is also a very bad Star to be associated with. In this aspect, in box 6, there’s one good symbol, the rest of the two symbols are not really so good, so it’s more like a negative answer.

How about yourself? Yourself is actually in box 7 which tells us about your current status and your character.

You’re actually a good leader. You have a Rest Door, which means you are pretty chill. You like to relax. You are not so hard working. I am sorry to say that, but end of the day, you are not very driven or motivated to continue this particular business. At the same time, we have a Problem Star, which means that you are actually facing a lot of other issues besides the business is not doing very well. And there’s something where we have to understand that there is a Geng, which is also represented by an enemy or competitor. That means that the shops actually beside you, or around you, are actually having a fierce competition with you. So. there’s something which is very very tricky. That is one of the reasons why your shop is not doing well.

What can you really do from here? We have to take reference again in terms of the business to see whether this business is really going to be profitable. The key point is “profitable”. When we do a divination under Qi Men Dun Jia, we will have to base it on the reference point. What is the key reference point of  business profits? There is one particular symbol which is called “Life”. Life Door is in box 6 which is also the answer.

The Life which is equal to the profitability of the business in the future. It is accompanied by a Serpent and a Destroyer. They are two of the bad symbols in Qi Men Dun Jia. In this aspect, the simplified version is that the profit is not going to be fantastic. To be honest, it’s going to be bad.

In this situation, I am not looking at the next 6 months or 12 months. The business is not going to be profitable in this period. If the business is not profitable, you should not continue because you’ll be losing money for the next 6 months more or less, or maybe 12 months depending on how long you’re going to sustain it. In this case, I would highly recommend that you may not want to continue the business at all because we can foresee that it is not going to make money. As simple as that. Of course, some people may say, “Maybe we should wait for another six months or maybe things will get better.” No, it’s not going to work because at least one enemy, that means your competitor, is actually creating the issues. Unless you move your shop to somewhere else, or maybe you do it online or do other things, your competition is less. From there, you should be able to make things better. You see, it’s a different platform or maybe a different product. You want to sell a service. From there, you should be able to make things work.

That’s the thing that you have to look at for Qi Men Dun Jia in terms of business. Of course, whatever I am sharing with you is actually a very simplified version of how to see a business’s profitability. There are actually many other things that we can look at to make a better and more decisive decision based on the question. Thanks for reading.
